The third season of the ILT20 is just around the corner, and teams are gearing up for another thrilling edition. Gulf Giants have strengthened their squad by signing eight new players. With 13 players already retained, we now have a total of 21 players, and are confident about clinching the title this time.

The retained players include big names like Shimron Hetmyer, James Vince, Chris Jordan, Aayan Khan, Zuhaib Zubair, Blessing Muzarabani, Gerhard Erasmus, Jamie Smith, Rehan Ahmed, Jordan Cox, Jamie Overton, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Richard Gleeson. Now, we have added Daniel Worrall, Dominic Drakes, Tom Curran, Adam Lyth, Wahidullah Zadran, Ibrahim Zadran, Mark Adair, and Tymal Mills to our roster.

Daniel Worrall and Dominic Drakes were part of our squad in season 2 as well, where they put in decent performances. Worrall played two games and took three wickets, while Drakes picked up five wickets in nine matches. Worrall is currently in great form in the 2024 County Championship, having claimed 45 wickets in 11 games, ranking third on the top wicket-takers list.

Tom Curran, known for his variations, is another key addition. He had a solid run in the 2024 Vitality Blast, taking 16 wickets in nine games. He’s not just a bowler — Curran can bat too, making valuable contributions with the bat down the order. In the ILT20, he has taken 12 wickets in 11 games and has an impressive overall T20 record, with 228 wickets in 211 games at an average of 24.49.

Adam Lyth brings a wealth of experience to the team. He has played 206 T20 matches and scored 4,771 runs, including 32 fifties and a century. In the 2024 Vitality Blast, he scored 302 runs, showcasing his solid form. Tymal Mills, known for his speed and variation, joins us as well. He has taken 286 wickets in 231 T20 matches with an average of 22.93. Mills had a fantastic 2024 season, taking 24 wickets in the Vitality Blast and 19 wickets in The Hundred.

Mark Adair from Ireland is another solid addition. He has played 124 T20 matches, taking 167 wickets at an average of 19.70 and maintaining a good economy rate of 7.56. Ibrahim Zadran, with 99 T20 games under his belt and 2,590 runs, adds to the batting strength. He averages 32.78 and has one century to his name. Wahidullah Zadran, a young talent from Afghanistan, has impressed in his short T20 career, taking 20 wickets in 14 matches at a bowling average of 14.95 and an economy of 6.10.

With a mix of experience and rising stars, we are looking stronger than ever for the upcoming ILT20 season.
