The third season of the ILT20 is almost here, and preparations are in full swing for an action-packed tournament! The season kicks off on 11th January 2025, with last year&rsquo;s finalists, Dubai Capitals and MI Emirates, going head-to-head in the opening match. Our team, the Gulf Giants, will play our first game on 12th January against the Sharjah Warriors in Dubai. <p>&nbsp;</p>

The DP World ILT20 Development tournament was a memorable one for the Gulf Giants as they claimed the title, defeating the Pearls by 6 wickets in the final on 16th October 2024. It was one of their best performances, chasing down a challenging target of 185 with 6 balls to spare.

The County Championship 2024 is reaching its final stages, and players are giving their all to help their teams compete for the title. Some of our Gulf Giants stars have also delivered standout performances in the latest round. James Vince, along with new additions like Tom Curran, Daniel Worrall, and Adam Lyth, have impressed us with their skills. We are excited to see them keep up their form in the remaining matches and get ready for the upcoming ILT20 season.

The third season of the ILT20 is just around the corner, and teams are gearing up for another thrilling edition. Gulf Giants have strengthened their squad by signing eight new players. With 13 players already retained, we now have a total of 21 players, and are confident about clinching the title this time.

The County Championship returned this week with thrilling matches as teams fought hard for victory. Two players from the Gulf Giants stood out with impressive performances. James Vince shone for Hampshire against Kent, while Rehan Ahmed proved his worth for Leicestershire in their clash against Yorkshire in Division 2. Meanwhile, Jordan Cox and Jamie Overton made their T20I debuts for England against Australia on Wednesday (September 11).

Shimron Hetmyer once again showcased his power-hitting abilities in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League, proving why he is one of the most dangerous batters in T20 cricket. Known for his aggressive batting, Hetmyer had struggled with form before this tournament, but he bounced back in style.

This past week has been filled with thrilling cricket action, with various competitions in full swing. Sri Lanka took on England in a 3-match Test series, West Indies faced South Africa, and the County Championship also saw some intense battles. The Hundred has delivered some thrilling matches in recent days, and with those matches, we've seen outstanding performances from our Giants. James Vince and Chris Jordan, in particular, have been exceptional. While Shimron Hetmyer has also made significant contributions for the London Spirit, it is Vince and Jordan of the Southern Brave who have truly dominated the tournament in the past week. Jordan Cox has been selected for England's Test squad to face Sri Lanka in a three-match series. At just 23 years old, his impressive stats from the County Championship this year have made him a promising talent for the future of English cricket. In nine matches, Cox has amassed 763 runs, showcasing his skill and consistency.

James Vince or ‘INVINCIBLE’ as he is known to the fans and his team-mates, is famous for his dominant batting displays and ability to create runs on the scoreboard for his team. Vince has always been a batter to be reckoned with at club level and has shown signs of his brilliance for the national team. But it is his performance as skipper of Gulf Giants in the International League T20, that has given him a place of notice.

The latest round of the County Championship could not have gone any better for James Vince and Jamie Smith. Coming off of a brilliant season in the DP World ILT20 with the Gulf Giants, Chris Jordan earned a spot in England’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. 

Last week saw a lot of exciting cricket action with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and the Vitality Blast running concurrently. Fans witnessed several thrilling performances from key players in both tournaments. Chris Jordan stood out for England in the World Cup, while James Vince, Jordan Cox, and Richard Gleeson delivered remarkable performances in the Vitality Blast.

The third season of the DP World ILT20  is set to begin on January 11, 2025, and we cannot contain our excitement. We had an excellent time in the second season, managing to qualify for the Playoffs once again. Although we were defeated in Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2, the season was still memorable with many exciting performances from our players. It was a season to remember, filled with great moments and achievements.
